1. My images are no longer on my camera, how have they been deleted?
There are a number of reasons why your images may have been deleted. It may be a due to a technical fault with your camera or your media card. We should still be able to recover your photos. First thing to do is remove your media so you do not write over the top of the data that is still there but you cannot see. [back]
2. I've been quoted a lot more than you to have my images recovered, how can you recover them a lot cheaper?
OhNoMyPhotos is committed to recovering data, most of our customers data can be recovered by non-destructive methods that do not require laboratory conditions, just experience and a proven recovery system.
3. I need the images yesterday; can you recover them quicker than stated?
There are occasions when customers request their images quicker than our gold service's 5 working days. If you need a quicker service please e-mail us and we will let you know what turn around you can expect and give you a quote to carry out this work.

4. I'm not based in the UK; can you still recover my data?
Yes we can still recover your data but will only add the additional cost of difference in postage. Please e-mail us and we can let you know how much that is. All fees are payable in pounds stirling.

5. How long does it take to recover my images?
We have two services: Silver service which takes 10 working days and Gold service which takes 5 working days.

6. What is the cost of recovering my pictures?
The cost of recovering your images depends on the size of your disc. We scan and recover all recoverable data from your media. We have a guide to cost of recovering camera media on our Order page. Please contact us if you have a different media or a larger media you would like recovered.

7. What do you mean by "non-destructive" recovery?
The majority of the work we carry out is non-destructive meaning we do not have to disassemble your media to recover the data. In some occasions we have to "take apart" the media as the electronics or moving parts are the problem.

8. How can I prevent this happening again?
Make sure you back up all your images to CD or DVD as well as your hard drive. Remove your images completely from your camera, do not leave them on there as the longer they are on there the higher the chance of losing them is. Do not fill your memory card to its capacity. Buy a larger memory card that allows you lots of room for additional images.

9. I have images on my iPod, can you recover them?
Yes we can recover most MP3 players, including iPods. We will recover all recoverable data and not just the images. Depending on the amount of images, etc on your iPod we will inform you and you can choose which you want returned. We will return this on CD or DVD, although on larger MP3 player of say 60GB, we may return your data on other media. Please contact us and let us know how you wish the contents returned and what size your iPod is and we will give you a quote for recovery and return of data.

10. I have dropped and smashed my PDA, can you recover the data I had stored on it?
We are unable to guarantee any recovery until we carry out an initial assessment of the PDA, we have had success where PDAs have not had their memory module damaged but just their case and screen.

11. The documents on my pen drive is confidential, do you look at the recovered images, documents or data?
We recover Gigabytes of images and data daily and it would take years to look through all the data. We do not look at the contents of any media we are recovering only on very few occasions as a quality check. This will only be a very small section of recovered data.

12. I need replacement memory while you are recovering my images, can I borrow a replacement memory card as I have a wedding next week?
Although not part of our silver or gold service we can let you have replacement memory. We will charge you for the media, this will be refunded on return of the media minus a small charge for rental. Please e-mail us so we can confirm terms and requirements with you.
